See the new report on CSSC CT Protective Security Update on the current threat to the Untied Kingdom. The report is packed with good advice for security professionals and facilities managers.

Do you have a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in place:-

  • Do you have a time of crisis communication strategy? · Can you contact your staff in the event of an incident? · Do you have procedures to invoke your plan? · Do you have key personnel to make decisions? · Do you have alternative locations to work from? · Do you have alternative rendezvous point where the main premises are inaccessible? · Do you have suppliers that also need to consider their BCP and the impact on your business? · When was your BCP last tested?

Consider too:-

What would you do if you have concerns about one of your employees, do your managers know how to recognise behavioural changes? · Are your staff aware of the current insider threat from terrorism? · Do you know who you are employing? · Is your recruitment department document aware?

CSSC was founded in June 2011 by a team of senior security experts, with the aim of building a platform to facilitate communications between private and public sector on issues surrounding security and business resilience. The initial focus of CSSC was to help businesses prepare for business as usual in the lead up to, and during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
